Summer Art Classes Now Registering

Kids Art Academy

The summer class schedule starts on June 13 with our Kids Art Academy! For nine weeks, kids from ages 5-12 will be able to learn about Painting, Drawing, Writing, Sculpting and so much more!

We have again partnered with Anoka County Libraries to bring our free songwriting workshop with James Hersch. This year we have also developed an eSTEM class that will bring together the nature of Manomin Park and the art of Banfill-Locke Center for the Arts!

Teen Summer Perspectives

Next on the artistic journey is the Teen Summer Perspectives classes. Designed for ages 13-16, these courses give our young artists the chance to grow and develop their skills within a group of their peers and cater to their interests!

Classes include: Jewelry Making, Anime, Large Canvas Collage and Painting, Concept Art and Book Making. Each class is meant to encourage, challenge and stoke curiosity of our teens.

Art Academy for Grownups!

Last, but not least, we have expanded our already robust Adult offerings this summer to include our special Art Academy for Grownups! Why let the kids have all the fun??

These stand-alone classes will be run over the nine weeks of summer. Each class will be three hours long and most will be held outdoors (weather permitting). They are meant to create and complete a fun and interesting project in one evening while enjoying our much-too-short Minnesota Summer!

Enjoy classes in alcohol inks, oil painting, rubber stamps and so much more while basking in the sun.

We are also offering a selection of classes during the day and weekends in Polymer clay, Ink Wash, Watercolors, and Literary Arts! Check out our Full Brochure
