An artist talk will be held on Saturday February 17th at 1 pm.

This exhibition explores the rich texture of mark making and depth of layers combined with map-like qualities.

Amy Tillotson is a contemporary visual artist.  Growing up in Milwaukee, Tillotson began her studies in Architecture at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She later transferred to the University of Wisconsin-Stout, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Art with a concentration in product design.

Tillotson has exhibited regionally in both solo and group shows.  She has been involved as a member, protégé and program leader of the Women’s Art Resources of Minnesota (WARM) Mentor/Protégée program. She has served on the Board for ArtStart, a St. Paul non-profit organization focusing on arts education and the environment, participated in the Minneapolis Institute of Art’s Art Adventure Program and volunteered as secretary and committee member for St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church’s Undercroft Gallery, overseeing six art exhibitions annually.

Greg De Grace is a painter that primarily works in oils and Encaustic.  He currently lives and works in the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District.  Greg was born in Milwaukee, WI and his family moved several times within the state before settling in Neenah, WI. These moves helped solidify the basis of his current work.  His work is an autobiographical representation of aerial landscapes that reference maps and satellite imagery.  His paintings juxtapose his experiences living in many different locales and the influence this has had on the very Midwestern compositions he creates.

Greg has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and a Master of Fine Arts from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia where he had studied under Kinji Akagawa, Vincent Desiderio, and Sidney Goodman.  Greg exhibits both locally and regionally; most notably at the Minnetonka Center for the Arts Minnetonka, MN, the Perkins Place Gallery Medford, WI, the University of Minnesota Morris, MN, has participated in the 103rd and 105th State Fair Fine Arts Exhibitions and is in a private collection in Atwater, MN.
