On Friday, February 14th at 7:30 pm, Banfill-Locke Center for the Arts hosts three amazing writers: James Cihlar, William Reichard, and Mary Jo Thompson for a special Valentine’s Day reading. The reading will be titled “Odi et Amo” meaning “I hate and I love.”
The Dirty Hands reading series features writers whose work addresses the world with immediacy and sharp edges. Discover new voices as well as new writing from familiar writers and new ways of reading and presenting poetry, prose, and ideas. These will be interactive events; series curator Becca Barniskis invites audience response and facilitates a lively exchange between writers and readers. In this interactive event, all three writers will invite the audience members to write their own Valentine’s poem. All events are free and open to the public.
