After a successful launch in January, we are excited to invite the community to the February Open Mic night at Banfill-Locke Center for the Arts. The program is offered the last Sunday of the month from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. February 23 and March 30 are the next two events.
Open Mic Nights are a great opportunity for members of the community to come and share their art. The BLCA Open Mic program is for all styles of music and spoken word performance, including poetry, singing, playing instruments, comedy, and storytelling. Everyone, including children, teens, and adults, is welcome to come and contribute their various creative outlets. The events, which take place in the Banfill-Locke Center for the Arts building, are free and open to the public.
Bethany Whitehead, BCLA Executive Director said, “Banfill members have been asking for additional ways to share their writing and musical talents, so this Open Mic Program serves that desire. It is another opportunity for the Arts Center to engage the community and also include other forms of art into our programming.”
