2014 Annual Member Show

On view now through November 1, 2014. The Banfill-Locke Center for the Arts Member Show is an open call for all those individuals with current membership to the art center. Six awards of distinction were awarded by the juror: Sylvia Carsen “First Snow,” Rachel Klismith “Life Drawing at Banfill,” Layl McDill “Not Your Usual Peacock,” Joyce Olson “On Jackfish Lake,” Chris Spencer “Florence Bridge,” and Deborah Splain “Private Thoughts.”

Gallery hours are 10 am to 4 pm, Tuesday through Saturday.

Opening Reception and Annual Member Meeting, 4 to 6 pm Saturday, October 4. 

The 2014 show features a great variety of work by our member artists.  Sixty-one artists showing 144 works of art make up this year’s show.

Show Closes: Saturday, November 1.  There is a juror talk from 10 am to 11 am that day and work can be picked up after the conclusion of the talk.  Come for the talk then take your work home! All work needs to be picked up by 4 pm on Saturday, November 1, 2014.

About the Juror:

Nicole Watson has been the manager at Groveland Gallery since 2008. She assists in curating and installing exhibitions, maintaining the gallery’s inventory, and consulting for personal and corporate collections. Nicole studied at the University of St. Thomas, where she earned a B.A. in studio art and graphic design and an M.A. in art and architectural history.
