On Friday, October 14 at 7:30 pm you are invited to visit Banfill-Locke Center for the Arts to hear from two local writers Rachel Moritz and Dante Collins .
Rachel Moritz is the author of Borrowed Wave (Kore Press, 2015) and five poetry chapbooks. Her work has appeared in American Letters and Commentary, Aufgabe, Colorado Review, Iowa Review, Volt, and other journals. She lives with her partner and son in Minneapolis.
Dante Collins was born in 1996, in Chicago Heights, Illinois. A spoken word poet and student at Augsburg College and author of the chapbook autopsies, Collins is the winner of the 2016 Aliki Perroti and Seth Frank Most Promising Young Poet Award for his poem “what the dead know by heart.”
The Reading Series is co-curated by writers Margaret Hasse and Clarence White. The events are free and open to the public and no RSVPs are necessary. The 2016 Reading Series is presented in partnership with the Anoka County Library.
