The BLCA Reading Series will be held on Friday, March 8 at 7:30 pm and will be hosted by Anoka Library’s Mississippi Branch located at 410 Mississippi Street NE in Fridley. The reading will feature authors Haley Lasché and Isela Xitlali Gómez R.
Haley Lasché is a yoga teacher and writing professor. Her poems have appeared such places as Nasty Women & Bad Hombres,Hartskill Review and Nice Cage. She has two poetry chapbooks: Where It Leads (Red Bird Chapbooks 2016) and Blood and Survivor (Locofo Chaps 2017).
Isela Xitlali Gómez R. is an East LA/Inland Empire transplant. Her art lays its roots in the spaces between jazz and mariachi, taco trucks and chili cheese burgers, oceans and desert and, now snow. Isela is a 2015 Winner of the Loft Literary Center’s Mentor Series in Creative Nonfiction and a 2017 Beyond the Pure Fellow through Intermedia Arts.
