This class is designed for those students who have taken Beginning Pastels Drawing, Drawing Basics or another introductory drawing class and would like to continue developing their skills. You may use charcoal and newsprint or soft chalk pastels while exploring additional drawing techniques and more complex subject matter. By the end of the session you will be amazed by your ability to draw with new confidence and understanding.

In this course, over 2 weeks, we’ll look for the beautiful healing words, the little bits of turquoise, that connect to our hearts’ desires and real needs for expression. We’ll find inspiration in poems, essays and short pieces of writing, as along with personal experience, these tools will fuel our own practices of exploratory, heartfelt writing. All levels- beginners to practiced writers – are welcome to join.
