The Artist Way

Uncover your creativity! The Artist Way is a 12-week course in discovering and recovering your creativity. The Artist Way will be led by BLCA Writer in Resident – Sarah Ratermann Beahan.

In this class, we’ll learn how to draw on real-life experiences to lend authenticity to fiction, as well as how to use imagination to deepen and enrich creative nonfiction and memoir. Explore when and why to use fact or fiction in your writing, and how to draw a clear line between the two.

Plein Air Landscapes in Watercolor

We will be painting plein air landscapes in adjacent Manomin Park, weather permitting, or indoors from photographs. Painting directly from nature frees you up, it is more spontaneous, giving you less time to go into details! For students with some watercolor experience.
